Hi everyone! I hope you're all staying nice and toasty during this chilly month. I know I am! If you know me, you'll know that I'm obsessed with books; for real, I love them. I love reading them, I love displaying them, and I also LOVE telling people about them! One of my new Year's Resolutions is to read every night before bed, which helps me fall asleep faster. Here is my January List!

I got this book for Christmas (Thanks John!), and I loved it. it was written by Maria Hatzistefanis, the founder and creator of Rodial, a skincare brand. This book does not give you a step by step on how to be successful overnight, but more of a guidance that let's you know that your journey will be different from everyone else's and that's perfectly okay. She tells us about her best tips, ideas, and stories, but it's not just a typical "successful person gloats for 245 pages" kind of book. It's a down to earth read that I had done in one sitting!

This is perfect for someone who is opening up a business, thinking of starting a new dream, or just for some plain old motivation!

You know how people (mis)quote Audrey Hepburn all the time and make her out to be some dainty, condescending, know it all? This book tells you that it's all false, and instead, she was a fiery spirit that made sure she got what she wanted. This books presents a side of Audrey that shows that she is not just the petite lady in an iconic black dress, and it's a must-read for anyone who has watched the movie, read the original "Breakfast at Tiffany's" book, or have posted one of her quotes on Instagram. I assure you, she's more than that.

If you know me at all, you know I'm obsessed with Pixar. Everything about it has fascinated me from day one, and it's always been a dream of mine to work there...even though I don't code, draw, write, or live in California. SO I've moved on to learning about it as much as possible! I found this book at a Barnes and Noble and was obsessed. Ed Cadmull, one of the founders and former President of Pixar, regales the roller coaster that started this lucrative film company. Behind the funny toys, heart-crushing moments, and cute dogs is a history that was rough yet successful. While reading it in the beginning, I will honestly say that I am genuinely surprised Pixar is as lucrative as they are today...from their perspective, it looked as if they were going to fail the entire time!

It also give your advice on how to manage a team properly, through the good, the bad, and the ugly, which is something we all need to know!

I got this as a Christmas gift as a total surprise, but little did the gift giver know, I've been a huge fan of Megan Hess since I followed her forever ago! I love this book, it's perfect for just gazing at before bed (the other books on this list kind of keep me up, I get so excited!), and it goes with any decor. Keep it on your coffee table or bed side, it's a real treat to look at!

To all of my philosophy babes out there, this one is for you! Arrested Development is my all time favorite television show. The first episode is the funniest thing I have ever seen in my entire life, and the first three seasons are just awesome (The Netflix seasons...not so much...). I was never a huge fan of philosophy, but when your boyfriend gets you a book about your favorite television show, you read it. I am only about halfway through, and so far, it's been pretty interesting! It shows the different philosophical themes of each dysfunctional family member, and why they did what they did. I really recommend watching the original series first before diving into this book since they do reference the show a lot, making the book and it's lessons way more entertaining.

If you watched the show or enjoy this type of subject, give this book a go!

Have you read any good books lately? Let me know in the comments below! I'd love some suggestions for my next post!
